Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled conveniently beside McDonald’s at the Upper Ground Level of SM North Edsa, Du Hsiao Yueh PH brings an authentic taste of Taiwan right to the heart of Quezon City. This Taiwanese restaurant is a must-visit for food enthusiasts eager to explore bold, comforting flavors that stay true to traditional culinary roots.

Du Hsiao Yueh’s menu is a celebration of classic Taiwanese dishes crafted with care and precision. For starters, their famous DanZai noodles offer a burst of umami in every small yet satisfying serving, boasting a broth that balances savory notes with subtle sweetness. Diners speak fondly of their Xiao Long Bao, which arrive hot and steaming, each dumpling bursting with juicy, flavorful filling that melts in your mouth. The Pan-fried buns and Wonton noodle soup also stand out, delivering an exquisite blend of textures and tastes that transport you to Taiwan’s vibrant street food scene.

For those who crave heartier fare, the pan-seared miso-marinated pork provides a perfectly caramelized crust locking in tender flavor — available in both solo and sharing plates to accommodate any appetite. The small plates deserve special mention: the Salt & Pepper Squid Rings are crispy with a hint of spice, and the Grilled Taiwanese Sausage boasts an ideal balance of fat and meat, grilled just enough for that irresistible smoky aroma.

Tea lovers will find their sanctuary here with a rich lineup of milk tea coolers. Whether it’s the invigorating Matcha Milk Tea with pudding, the indulgent Brown Sugar Milk Tea with chewy boba, or the delectably sweet Salted Caramel and Winter Melon flavors, each sip refreshes and complements the meal perfectly.

Atmospherically, Du Hsiao Yueh PH offers a welcoming and contemporary dining space perfect for casual meals with friends or family. The staff are consistently praised for their polite and attentive service, adding to an overall experience that feels both authentic and friendly. The place hums with the satisfaction of diners who appreciate quality Taiwanese cooking without leaving the city.

From freshly cooked dim sum to rich noodle soups and delicately prepared pork dishes, every item on the menu evokes a genuine connection to Taiwan’s vibrant culinary heritage. Whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, Du Hsiao Yueh PH is the kind of restaurant that leaves you craving more long after the meal is over — a true gem in Metro Manila’s dining landscape.

Taste of the food was awesome though in small servings particularly the DanZai noodles. I loved the taste and I want more! XiaoLongBao is also good and liked it served hot. We also had Pan fried buns, wonton noodles soup, and the Buchi with assorted flavors ube, custard and red beans are great!

I recently tried a Taiwanese restaurant and overall it was a nice dining experience. The flavors were good, and the portions were decent for the price. The xiao long bao stood out juicy and flavorful. The vegetable dishes were fresh, and both the noodles and the intestine dish were very enjoyable. The rice toppings, however, felt a bit on the lighter side compared to the rice serving. As for the sweet and sour soup, it tasted a little too sour at first, but after a few more sips the balance came through and it turned out quite good. Overall, a pretty solid Taiwanese dining experience with satisfying flavors and good value.

I consider myself a foodie and one who is not afraid to try out new restaurants (especially Asian)! Visited Du Hsiao the week they opened, and wow did they impress me! Minced pork rice is a meal I can eat everyday. Danzi noodles is also an amazing dish - though the serving is quite small. Everyone should also try their roast pork and string beans! I really love the fact that they were able to keep the flavors of this Taiwanese brand intact - it’s like I was dining in Taipei. Used to eating in newly-opened restaurants, I know service is something that will improve over time (which actually already happened when I went back last weekend). I recommend and will definitely visit again!

Our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The noodles, a particular favorite of my parents, were perfectly executed, while the hot and sour soup stood out with its bold, balanced flavors. The dim sum, served promptly, was fresh and flavorful, showcasing a mastery of traditional techniques. Service was impeccable—staff were not only friendly but also impressively attentive, addressing every request with urgency and professionalism. The Jasmine tea paired beautifully with the meal, striking just the right note without overpowering the dishes. Overall, this establishment delivers a well-rounded, satisfying culinary experience. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is clean and ambiance was great. Leonard, our waiter, was efficient and well versed with the menu. We highly appreciate that he paid keen attention to our orders and made sure that all orders were delivered on a timely manner. I really like the food, especially their flavored buchis and shrimp with vermicelli noodles. Other items that I also loved were their three cup chicken, siomai and xiao long bao. I highly recommend this place as your go to taiwanese food restaurant in SM north edsa!

Braised beef noodle and Wonton noodle (no photo) soup both taste good! You can even see how the beef looks We were not able to capture everything since it took awhile for the orders to complete and we ate what's served first. Serving time is around 30-45 minutes. Personal fave is pan-fried buns with minced pork! We almost ordered another set! However, the spaces in between tables with a small group or twos are too tight. We also had a not-so good service from the male server. We asked him for the same thing thrice since orders are given one by one. It's a bit frustrating since the kitchen is almost just in front of table. If we could only get up on our table without disturbing the table beside us then we will get them ourselves. On the other hand, all the female servers tend to bring what the customers' requested promptly, just right after requesting them. Will try again especially their other branches.

May 2025: Another really good Taiwanese resto in SM North. Not as crowded as others but food is really savory. Definitely coming back. The fish scale ceiling is unique.
